Jeré Reid is a woman of many titles and talents, all of which relate to her purpose of nurturing the mind, body and spirit. By day, she is a high school advance placement Government teacher. When she isn't busy instructing her hundreds of students, she is a motivational speaker, empowerment maven, and beauty blogger.

From an early age, she knew that she was born to teach, inspire, and empower and quickly grew in this gifting through the development of her genuine compassion for people, her devotion to mentoring, and through her profession as an educator.

Graduating from the University of Central Florida with a bachelors in Secondary Education, Jere started her journey of more than 10 years as a educator in the Central Florida Public School System. Although she loves the daily opportunity to impact the lives of her students, she felt the intense calling to do more. Jere describes, "I realized that my favorite moments as an educator happen outside of testing, lecturing, and content. My favorite moments occur when I am able to empower my students to end an unhealthy situation, change their negative opinions of themselves, while encouraging them to chase dreams, and accomplish goals. In these moments, I realize that I am created to empower and motivate beyond the constraints of the classroom, that is my purpose!"

Through her website, Nappturally Chic Jeré and Organization Empowered To Bloom, the beauty and empowerment enthusiast fully embraces her passion of uplifting women and equipping them to realize their inner glow. This passion has allowed Jeré to mentor thousands of young ladies and conduct workshops on natural hair care, self esteem, and empowerment throughout the United States and Canada.

After a nationwide search, Jere received an additional opportunity to motivate and empower women when she was chosen to be a My Black is Beautiful Ambassador. This Proctor and Gamble sponsored organization is designed to inspire and motivate African American women and young girls through the celebration of African American beauty. Through her work as an ambassador, Jere has appeared in numerous publications including but not limited to, O: The Oprah Magazine, EBONY, Essence, Uptown Magazine, and Sister to Sister.

In regard to her purpose in life, Jere states; "As women we are constantly bombarded with images of beauty that contradict the unique and real beauty of ourselves...if I can remind one young girl or woman of her beauty and her undeniable worth, I am truly living in my purpose."

Jeré, who is a child of a God and a music lover, serves as choir director and worship leader at Solid Rock C.O.G. in Kissimmee, Fla., where she ministers through song on a weekly basis. She resides in the Sunshine State with her husband and two adorable daughters.
